Leadership Excellence Program


The Leadership Excellence Program is a great opportunity for professional growth. This includes developing leadership and project management skills and seeing first-hand how United Way of the Midlands (UWM) makes a difference in our community. 

Individuals will be selected for one of our highly regarded positions. You will receive a comprehensive orientation, on-the-job training, and networking opportunities with local prominent business leaders and further professional development. 

This position will be responsible for assisting assigned Director, Corporate Relations account portfolio with all aspects of the workplace campaigns.

  • Individuals able to commit to driving impact with UWM to help break the cycle of poverty between August and November


37.5 hours/week assisting with the UWM 2016 fall campaign. Responsibilities will include:

  •   Assist with campaign presentations at partner companies
  •   Work with Donor Engagement team to build company engagement
  •   Perform required administrative duties such as sending thank you notes
  •   Make community contacts to acquire, retain, and expand current business

  •   Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
  •   Must have own vehicle and valid state driver’s license/insurance
