TONIGHT – Labor Union Members Face Off During Blue Collar Boxing
Charity Event

Who:

The Omaha Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO and United Way of the Midlands will host their annual Blue Collar Boxing event TONIGHT, November 24, at Ralston Arena. 

What:

During Blue Collar Boxing, 22 local labor union members – representing nine different local labor unions – will face off in the boxing ring.

Why:

The relationship between the AFL-CIO and United Way is built upon a mutual desire to create a better, stronger and more vibrant community. Partners since 1941, it’s that shared commitment to our community that led to the creation of this amateur boxing event in 2019. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Nebraska Center for Workforce Development and Education and United Way of the Midlands, empowering both organizations to strengthen our local community.

Upon arrival, please enter through the southeast entrance and go to the Media Check-In table. From there, Jill Samuelson (cell: 402-319-8213) will escort you into the arena.
