What an amazing event on July 20! Thank you to those who joined us to celebrate the impact of our newest initiative, Mental Health First Aid: United in Heart and Mind. With the increased focus on mental health in our community, we were honored to have Crystal Fuller, Senior Manager of Prevention Services, Region Six Behavioral Health, share about the implementation and impact of Mental Health First Aid.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training:

Learn how to become an advocate and resource to your colleagues, loved ones and neighbors who may find themselves in crisis. Women United is offering a training opportunity for members:

October 26: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Mary C. Lopez Lunch and Learn Series

The lunch and learn series provides the opportunity to take an in-depth look at the community’s most pressing needs, and hear from thought leaders across the metro. Each session will highlight funding or policy impacts, and provide an engaging look at a special focus area related to mental health.

Women United will sell a specially crafted cherry to support the mental health initiative over the holiday season. Place your order online and pick-up in store, or have them delivered.

Launching the annual United Way Campaign is one of the most joyful times of the year. Join us and Campaign Chairs Tim and Terri Burke as we come together to celebrate the start of the 2022 campaign year!

Day of Caring: September 16, 2022

This annual United Way day of services takes place at agencies across the metro. We encourage Women United members to get their colleagues, friends and family involved by signing up as a team.

United Way of the Midlands Annual Meeting: October 21, 2022

Location: Hilton Hotel

Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Join us for this ticketed event to recognize our community for their generous and caring spirit. Formal invitations will be sent this Summer. We are honored to feature tables of Women United members.
