What working in this community means to me: I’m honored to get to work with so many individuals in our community that are caring, compassionate, and generous with a focus on improving the lives of those in our community and truly embracing “Nebraska, the good life”. #We’reThatKindofTown

I have worked at United Way of the Midlands for just over one year, I have the responsibility for the fundraising and pledge processing functions for the organization. What I love most about working at United Way of the Midlands is the passion of the people, and a focus on helping those in our community in need.

I enjoy reading, working on home and yard projects, traveling and hanging out with my kids and grand kids.

What working in this community means to me: Omaha has been my home since I was 9 years old, and I love being part of improving the quality of life for those needing it most here in our community.

“If you think you can, or if you think you can’t, either way you’re right.” – Henry Ford

Since early 2016, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside many, many talented individuals at partnering corporations, schools, and hospitals throughout our community. Seeing firsthand how much time and money are invested back into Omaha to combat poverty is both humbling and inspiring…being around such generosity every day makes this work truly fulfilling!

I enjoy tutoring high school Chemistry students—yes, I’m a proud science geek!

What working in this community means to me: I was born in Omaha and raised in Papillion. At a very early age, I developed a passion for helping others.  The Omaha-Council Bluffs metro means the world to me, and I try to make our community a better place on a daily basis through my current role and volunteering.

My life motto is Gandhi’s quote, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” If I want our community to be a better place, I know it starts with me.

I’ve had the pleasure of working at United Way of the Midlands for two years. I began my time at UWM as a Loaned Executive and later joined the donor engagement team full-time as a Director, Corporate Relations. I love my job because it gives me countless opportunities to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable populations in our community.

My favorite thing to do is to attend Husker sporting events – football, volleyball, and baseball. Go Big Red!
