COMMUNITY CARE FUND
INVESTING FOR IMPACT
During the 2017 and 2018 fiscal years, United Way of the Midlands invested $36.1 million in a network of supports that impacted individuals and families living in or at-risk of poverty.
To improve the quality of life in our community, we support programs that meet our neighbors’ immediate needs for physical and mental health services, healthy food, stable housing, domestic violence support and the 2-1-1 Helpline.
To ensure our local children come to school prepared to learn the academic and essential skills needed to succeed, we invest in early childhood education, school attendance supports, literacy, mentoring and after-school and summer learning programs.
To create a stable community, we support programs that focus on financial education, job skill development and asset development.
